Presentation
In SoftExpert Risk, it is possible to register test plan templates. These plans can later be associated with risk control analyses in order to test these analyses.
This article will demonstrate how to register a test plan.
Register a test plan
1. Access the menu Registration > Test > Test Plan (RI211) .
2. Click the button
.
3. Provide an identifier and a name for the plan being registered.
4. In the General tab , if desired, you can make some additional settings:
Additional settings
Test type
Please specify whether the test will be a sample or a test case .
If the Test Case option is selected, you will only need to fill in the Recurrence and Results fields .
Recurrence:
Define the frequency at which tests of this model will be performed.
- Recurrence pattern : Define whether tests will run weekly , monthly , or annually . If none is selected, recurrence will not be applied.
- Recurrence interval : specify the date on which the tests will begin and determine whether the occurrence will end after a defined number of occurrences , on a specific date , or if it is undetermined. It is also possible to select the option to generate retroactive recurrences .
Checklist
Select an existing checklist to associate it with the test plan. The questions on this checklist will be used as criteria for conducting the control test.
Use the button
to search for a previously registered checklist or the button
to create a checklist for the test plan. For more information about registration, click here .
Population
Displays the population to which the test plan is associated. For more details on the association, see the article Registering a control test population .
Approval roadmap
Select the script responsible for approving the test results for this plan.
The members of this script will receive the task of Approval of the control test .
For more details, see the article Setting up a responsible route .
Results
Determine the test result settings; to do this, select in the Comment? column whether including a comment in the test result will be mandatory ( Pass or Fail ).
In the Result >= (%) column , define the required value, between 1 and 100%, for the test result to be considered as Passed .
If a checklist has been associated with the test plan, its questions will be used as criteria to achieve the desired percentage of the result. For example: if the checklist associated with the test plan has 10 questions and, in the Result >= (%) field, the value entered is 70%, then, during the execution of the test, at least 7 questions must be answered with YES for the analysis or control to pass the test.
If no checklist was associated, the test samples should only be evaluated with the options Pass or Fail.
5. After filling in the fields, click
to enable the Details tab .
6. In the Details tab , you can:
- Include : the security of the test plan, the description of the test plan, or the appendix related to the test plan.
- Associate : the attributes of the control test execution, the attributes of the sample, and the documents related to the test plan.
7. After finishing, click on
.
9. The registered test plan will be displayed in the menu's list of records. If desired, you can click on:
| This button allows you to view and edit the test plan data. | |
| This button allows you to activate or deactivate the trial plan. | |
| This button allows you to delete the test plan. |

To learn more about security , access the article How the permission profile works .
For more information on what attributes are and how to associate them with the plan, click here .
Documents related to the control process must be registered in SoftExpert Document.
When creating a test plan, you can use Copilot , SoftExpert's artificial intelligence, to help in writing the description. For more details, see the article Using AI in text creation and editing .
Conclusion
With the test plan properly registered, the next step is to create the risk plan .
