Closing a request

Prerequisites

Introduction

When a request has closure configured in its type, and the execution step is completed, the request is made available in the Request closure (SR006) menu.

From this menu, the request issuer can evaluate the execution once it is done, ensuring an efficient feedback process and the continuous improvement of provided services.

This article will illustrate the closure of the flow example: a document print request.

Closing a request

1. Access the Execution > Request closure (SR006) menu.

2. Select the request you wish to close.

3. Click on the toolbar button.

4. In the Closure section, in the Satisfaction field, select your level of satisfaction with the request execution.

5. In the Opinion field, express your opinion on the request execution.

6. Answer the closure checklist by selecting the desired option for each question: Yes, No, or N/A (not applicable).

7. After filling in all the required fields, save the record.

  • The Deadline field is filled in by the system with the date by which the request must be closed, as configured in the request type.
  • The Date field is filled in by the system with the date on which the request is being closed.
  • The Checklist section will be displayed if there is a checklist associated in the Closure step? field of the request type. The answers may be shown selected by the system already, and filling in the Comment field may be mandatory, depending on the checklist configurations.

Conclusion

Once the closure step is executed, the request life cycle will reach its end!
