Prerequisites

• External User Portal configured with an action plan widget.
• Portal with widgets shared with the external user in External User Portal (CM030).
• External user included in the security settings and assigned as executor of the actions to be performed.
• External user logged into the portal.

Presentation

The External User Portal allows users to perform specific action items previously configured by the organization, usually related to action plans or activities that require their feedback.

Execute an action through the portal

1. On the home page, click one of the available portal cards to open it in a new browser tab.

2. Inside the portal, locate the action execution widget.

3. Expand the widget or scroll through the list to view the actions assigned to you.

4. Identify the desired action and click Run.

5. The action execution screen will open, displaying the required information and fields. Fill in the requested data according to the on-screen instructions.

6. The action will only be considered started when you enter a value lower than 100 in the Execution > End > %Completed field and save the record.

7. Complete the action by entering 100 in the %Completed field and clicking Send to next step, which will then be enabled.

Conclusion

In this way, the external user can collaborate directly with the organization in updating and completing action plans or other specific activities made available in the External User Portal.
