Creating information
The configuration described in this article is applicable to version 3.0 of the system. For the configuration of previous versions, click here.
Prerequisites
- Access the SoftExpert Administration > File > Information (AD079) menu.
- Access the SoftExpert Administration > Configuration > Information type (AD078) menu.
- SoftExpert Administration as part of the solutions acquired by the organization.
Introduction
Information represents the data used as input and output in the execution of a process.
Recording information allows adding and organizing this data in a structured manner, ensuring greater clarity in the documentation and understanding of the process flow.
As an example, the recording of “Available budget balance” information will be demonstrated, which can be used in the inputs and outputs of a purchase request process.
Creating an information type
1. Access the SoftExpert Administration > Configuration > Information type (AD078) menu.
2. Click on the +Create button.
3. Enter an ID # and a name for the type.
4. If necessary, add an Upper level type that, on the main screen hierarchy, is one level above the record in question.
5. Click on the
button.

If SoftExpert Copilot is part of the solutions acquired by the organization, it is possible to use the With AI agent option to record information with the aid of artificial intelligence. For further details about this operation, refer to the Using AI to create records article.

Creating information
1. Access the SoftExpert Administration > File > Information (AD079) menu.
2. Click on the
button.
3. On the screen that will be opened, enter an ID # and a name.
4. Select the type that will classify the information. Simply click on the
button to search for previously added types or on the
button to create a new type.
5. If the information is stored in a directory of the user's computer, select the File field and click on the
button to add it.
6. If the information is available online, select the URL field and enter the web address.
7. If necessary, enter additional data on the information in the Description field.
8. Click on the
button.
