Using visions in portals

Prerequisites

  • “Edit” permission enabled on the Configuration > Access group (CM011) menu.
  • SoftExpert Analytics as part of the solutions acquired by the organization.
  • Access to the Portals menu.

Introduction

The analyses and visions created in SoftExpert Analytics can be used as widgets on a portal.

SoftExpert Analytics visions allow for analyzing records using configured charts and tables.

See below how to add visions to portals:

  • To avoid problems with the display of visions on portals, make sure to add the SoftExpert Suite URL to the list of plugin exceptions (e.g., 3CX Click to call) and ad blocker exceptions (e.g., AdBlock).
  • Do not use more than ten visions/widgets on a portal to prevent slowness.

  • If the portal is shared with a group of people, make sure they have permission to view it. If necessary, access the File > Analysis panel (AN003) menu and edit the analysis/vision security.
  • When visions of a same analysis are used in a single portal tab, the widgets will be related, that is, when you click on a specific value of a widget, the information of the other widgets will be drilled down according to the selected value.

Applying filters to portal visions

The vision widgets allow for filtering the values of certain analysis fields.

To apply a filter to a portal, take the following steps:

1. On a portal in view mode, click on the button from the toolbar of the widget.

2. Select the analysis field. Then, enter its value or the interval to be filtered.

To configure a vision widget with a previously applied filter, it will be necessary to perform the following steps:

1. On a portal in edit mode, click on Filters at the top.

2. From the field list of the analysis, select the desired field and the value it must have for the information to be displayed.

3. Then, click on Add.

4. After the filter is applied, click on Save changes.

If the vision inserted into the portal comes from a view menu, it will be possible to configure a link to open the data screen of the objects of the vision. To do that, perform the following steps:

It will only be possible to configure links in widgets with visions of the "Table" type.

1. Upon accessing a portal, click on Edit portal.

2. Then, in the widget that has the table vision, click on .

3. In the Vision data, select the column that will contain the links and click on > Edit.

4. On the column data screen, click on the Add button of the Hyperlink section.

5. On the screen that will be opened, three options will be available:

External URL Allows for adding the URL of a page external to the system. Enter the URL in the Link field. In the Parameter field, it is possible to define dynamic parts in the external page link. To do so, enclose the field ID # in <>, as in this example: http://your_site.com/<NMTITLE>/.
Upon clicking to open this link, <NMTITLE> will be replaced by the "NMTITLE" selected in the vision.
SE Suite portal Allows for configuring a link that will redirect to another tab or another portal. To do so, select the target portal and fill in its details.
SE Suite URL Allows for adding a link from another data screen in the system. Access the SoftExpert Suite object links article to check all available links.

6. After defining the link parameters, click on Test URL.

7. If everything is correct, click on the Apply button.

8. Lastly, in the Vision data, click on Save and exit to record the changes.

Link configuration details can be seen in the Analytics - 2.2.1 article.
