Execute the revision of a document
This topic will teach you to execute the steps of an ISO9000-based revision of a document and other related operations.
To do that, we will use the document created in the Create a document with revision control topic, which must have a revision in progress in the "Draft" step.
We will cover the following operations:
Entering draft and executing the revision
Access the My tasks > Document revision menu.
Fill out the Quick search field with "Work instruction" and click on Search.
Select the displayed document and click on the button.

At this point, the data screen of the document will be opened in Revision > Change. Click on the button on the side toolbar.
On the screen that will be opened, fill out the Location field with "Title" and the Change field with “The title has been changed”.
Click on the button.

Once done, we will close the "Draft" step. To do that, click on the Accept revision button.
Confirm the request made by the system. At this point, the data screen of the document will be closed.

Entering a critique and returning the revision to the draft step
When creating the document in the Create a document with revision control topic, we configured the "Draft" (which we executed above) and "Approval" steps. The document will be sent to the latter.
As your user is also the document approver, it will be displayed in your list of records.
After selecting the document in the list of records, click on the button.

The document data screen will be displayed again in the Revision option. Click on the Changes tab and view the critique that was made.
Once done, click on the Critique tab and on the button on the side toolbar.
On the screen that will be opened, fill out the Description field of the Critique tab as "Incorrect title".
Click on the button. At this point, the Attachment tab will be enabled, but we will not use it in our example.
Click on the button.

Once done, we will return the document for the drafter to perform the necessary adjustments. To do that, click on the Reject revision button.
Confirm the request made by the system. At this point, the data screen of the document will be closed.

Solving a critique
As your user is the document drafter, it will be displayed in your list of records, but it will be in the "Draft" step again.
After selecting the document in the list of records, click on the button. At this point, the data screen of the document will be opened in Revision > Change.
Click on the Critique tab. The list of records will display the entered critique.
Considering the critique is referring to the electronic file of the document, to solve it, access the Electronic file option on the document data screen.
On the side toolbar, click on the and wait for the file to be opened.

Perform the necessary adjustments and save the changes.
Return to Revision > Critique.
Select the critique in the list of records and click on the button on the side toolbar.
On the screen that will be opened, fill out the Description field of the Solution tab as "Title corrected".
Click on the button.

We can send the document to the next step once again. To do that, click on the Accept revision button.
Confirm the request made by the system. At this point, the data screen of the document will be closed.
Closing the revision
The document will return to your user, this time in the "Approval" step.
After selecting the document in the list of records, click on the button.
At this point, the data screen of the document will be opened in Revision. Click on the Critique tab and view the entered solution (Solution resp. column).

Once done, click on the Accept revision button.
Confirm the request made by the system. At this point, the data screen of the document will be closed.
As this is the last configured step, the revision will be closed and the document will be released.
If the "Review" and "Release" steps are configured for your document, they will follow the functioning of the Approval step displayed above.
The process described above usually occurs with different users, but since this guide intends to show only the mechanics of the operations, we used only your user.
As our goal was only to display the revision execution, we will not go in-depth on the document data screen; thus, the other sections and fields are not covered by this topic.
For further details on those, refer to the SE Document manual.
