Prerequisite
- Access to the Registration > Competency (CO004) menu and the Excel spreadsheet import function.
Presentation
SoftExpert Competência allows you to import competencies in batches from an Excel spreadsheet, making it easier to configure records and enabling you to register or edit multiple competencies at once.
See below how to import a skill:
Import competence
1. Access the Registration > Competency (CO004) menu.
2. On the toolbar, click the More button, and then select Import to open the import wizard.

3. To begin the import process from the wizard, click Start.
4. In the Select file step, download the template spreadsheet from the First time? section (if you don't already have a spreadsheet set up).

5. Fill in the CPTREG spreadsheet (the template spreadsheet) with the competency data. To understand the fields (requirement, type, and description), consult the Guidelines tab of the spreadsheet.
6. Save the spreadsheet and confirm that the file extension is .xls.
7. In the Upload file field, upload the completed spreadsheet. The system will validate whether the spreadsheet contains records; if there are inconsistencies, a configuration error message will be displayed.
8. Check the language: the spreadsheet must be exported and imported in the same language as the system. If the export is in English and the import occurs with the system in Portuguese (for example), the file will not be validated.
9. Click Next to proceed through the wizard.
10. In the Execute step, check the list of records read from the spreadsheet. If necessary, remove any records from the list that should not be imported and click Next to start the import.
11. In the Preview stage, monitor the processing results (successes and any errors) and click Finish to complete.
12. If you need to adjust something before finishing, use Previous to go back a step. If you click Cancel, the wizard will close and any data in progress will be lost.
Conclusion
In this way, the skills are imported in batches and become available in the master data for use in other component processes (for example, mappings and assessments).
