Communication in the portal

 

Prerequisite

  • “Edit” permission enabled on the Configuration > Access group (CM011) menu.
  • Portal created with the Allow adding comments on this portal option checked.

 

Introduction

Portals created with the Allow adding comments on this portal option checked have the Comments button.

When the Comments button is clicked, a panel will open, showing the comments of the portal.

Adding a comment

To insert a new comment, type a message in the available field and click on Send.

 

Editing and deleting comments

To edit or delete a published comment, hover the mouse over it in order for the Edit and Delete options to be displayed.

By clicking on Edit, you can edit the comment. Perform the changes and press ENTER for it to be published again.

After clicking on Delete, answer the question "Do you really wish to delete this comment?" with Confirm to delete it.

 

Replying to comments

To reply to a comment, click on the Comment button available in it. Enter a reply and press ENTER for your reply to be published.

It is also possible to like comments. To do so, click on the Like button.

 

 

Resolving comments

To resolve a comment, click on the Resolve button available in it. Once resolved, it will be removed from the comments of the portal.

  • To access resolved comments, click on the section of the comments panel.
  • It is not possible to comment, edit, delete, or like resolved comments.
  • For the comment to be shown again on the list of comments, click on the Reopen option available in the resolved comment.
 

 

Conclusion

The Notification center will warn the user whenever they are mentioned in a comment.
