Associating a template
Prerequisites
- Administration: access to the Configuration > Electronic file > Complex file container (AD030) menu.
- Performance: access to the Management > Scorecard planning (ST009) menu.
- Document: access to the Configuration > Document > Category (DC043), Configuration > Document > E-mail template (DC062), or Configuration > Document > Complex file container (DC041) menu.
- Form: access to the File > Form (FO005) menu.
- PDM: access to the Configuration > Item > Item type (IT040) or Configuration > Item > Complex file container (IT038) menu.
- Process: access to the File > Process (PM022) menu.
- Survey: access to the File > Survey template (SV004), Management > Survey planning (SV005), or Execution > Survey execution (SV028) menu.
- Previously configured template.
Introduction
Templates can be used for different purposes, and the association place varies according to the component.

Administration
Associating a template with a complex file container:
1. Access the Configuration > Electronic file > Complex file container (AD030) menu.
2. On the container data screen, go to the Structure tab.
3. Click on Add and select the "Template" option in the Content type field.
4. Associate the template.

Performance
Associating a template with the strategy map of a scorecard:
1. Access the Management > Scorecard planning (ST009) menu.
2. On the scorecard data screen, go to the Structure tab.
3. Click on the Strategy map option and on the button.
4. Drag the Image element to the available area and insert the template in the specified place.

Document
Associating a template with a document category:
1. Access the Configuration > Document > Category (DC043) menu.
2. On the category data screen, go to the Electronic file tab.
3. Open the Template section and click on the button.
4. Select the desired template.
5. Click on the button to finish the association.

Associating a template with an e-mail template:
1. Access the Configuration > Document > E-mail template (DC062) menu.
2. On the e-mail template data screen, select the Content will be read from HTML file option.
3. Associate the desired template in the specified field.

Associating a template with a complex file container:
1. Access the Configuration > Document > Complex file container (DC041) menu.
2. On the container data screen, select the Structure tab.
3. Click on the button and select the "Template" option in the Content type field.
4. Associate the template.

Form
Associating a template with a nonresponsive form:
1. Access the File > Form (FO005) menu.
2. On the form data screen, select the Structural elements section.
3. Drag the Image element to the available area.
4. Associate the desired template in the specified field.

PDM
Associating a template with an item type:
1. Access the Configuration > Item > Item type (IT040) menu.
2. On the type data, go to the Electronic file tab.
3. Select the Template sub-tab.
4. Click on the button and select the desired template.
5. Click on the button to finish the association.

Associating a template with a complex file container:
1. Access the Configuration > Item > Complex file container (IT038) menu.
2. On the container data screen, select the Structure tab.
3. Click on the button and select the "Template" option in the Content type field.
4. Associate the template.

Process
Associating a template with a process message event:
1. Access the File > Process (PM022) menu.
2. Open the flowchart of the desired process.
3. Edit the Message (send) event.
4. Access the Content tab.
5. Check the Content will be read from HTML file option.
6. Associate the desired template.
Associating a template with a user activity, a system activity, or a process decision:
1. Access the File > Process (PM022) menu.
2. Open the flowchart of the desired process.
3. Edit the data of a user activity, system activity, or decision.
4. Access the Configurations > Notification tab.
5. In the Configuration sub-tab, check the Content will be read from HTML file option.
6. Associate the desired template.

Survey
Associating a template with a survey:
1. Access the File > Survey template (SV004), Management > Survey planning (SV005), or Execution > Survey execution (SV028) menu.
2. On the record data screen, open the E-mail section.
3. Select the Specific option.
4. Associate the template in the specified field.
