Identifying a blocked data source
Prerequisites
- Access to the Data source management > Data sources > REST (DI001) menu.
- Access to the Data source management > Data sources > SOAP (DI002) menu.
- Access to the SoftExpert Configuration > Monitoring > Alerts (CM0034) menu.
Introduction
The system may block data sources, as an essential measure to ensure its security, integrity, and performance.
This blocking seeks to optimize the platform's reliability, minimizing the risks of the data sources being compromised, since they are vital for the system's operation.
Identifying blocked data sources
There are two ways to identify whether a data source has been blocked.
From the data source creation menu:
1. Access the Data source management > Data sources > REST (DI001) menu or the Data source management > Data sources > SOAP (DI002) menu.
2. Search for the data source.
3. Check the status of the data source.

From the Alerts (CM034) menu of SoftExpert Configuration:
1. Access the SoftExpert Configuration > Monitoring > Alerts (CM0034) menu.
2. In the Status tab, search for the REST data source monitoring or Web service data source monitoring option. The fields will allow for checking the health of the data source and identifying possible problems related to the blocking.

What to do if a data source has been blocked
There are two main rules for a data source to be blocked. The first consists of a minimum of 100 requests every 24 hours. Moreover, in order for the blocking to be activated, 75% of the requests need to present an error or failure.
The blocking will be activated when both rules are met. Below, see an example of how the status will be displayed in the Alerts (CM034) menu.
