Learn about SoftExpert Maintenance
Welcome!
SoftExpert Maintenance allows for managing all maintenance, calibration, and verification processes conducted by an organization, ensuring that tools, gages, parts, and other assets are efficiently managed, which includes scheduling, documentation, planning, analysis, meter reading, and tests on measuring equipment, devices, and standards.
In the maintenance field, the system supports preventive, corrective, and programmed maintenances, as well as maintenances with routes.
- Preventive: it is a type of maintenance that must be done regularly in order to prevent possible damage.
- Corrective: it is maintenance specifically done to fix a problem.
- Programmed: it is a type of maintenance scheduled to happen on a certain date, without recurrence.
- Route: it is a route with multiple maintenances that must be carried out in order for it to be completed.
In the calibration field, the system handles external and internal calibrations, which work with sophisticated result and data collection tools, such as results per point, type B sources of uncertainty, and measurement data collection.
In the verification field, the system provides a gage evaluation method that allows for regularly checking the state of assets for inspection purposes.

What are its characteristics?
When accessing the component, you will see it is divided into the following menus:
Configuration | Menu in which the initial configurations of the component are set; they will be used later on to add the other features. Without a procedure type configured, for example, it is impossible to create a procedure. |
File | Menu used to create standard activities, usage adequacies, causes, defects, service centers, sources of uncertainty, downtime reasons, procedures, resources, and control variables. |
Management | Menu used to manage activity scheduling, resources control, activity plans, object deletion, and activity programming. |
Execution | Menu used to execute activities, meter readings, variable readings, and downtime records. |
View | Menu that gathers the information of all records for an overview. |
Shall we start?
By following the steps of the flow below, you will be able to configure and operate SoftExpert Maintenance successfully.
The first flow follows the configuration and operation of a corrective maintenance:
The articles that compose the flow illustrate the corrective maintenance process of an organization's machine. Since it is a corrective maintenance, it will be meant for immediately fixing a specific problem on the machine, not a recurring one.
The second flow follows the configuration and operation of a preventive maintenance:
The articles that compose the flow illustrate the preventive maintenance process of an organization's machine. It is a recurring maintenance, intended to prevent major damage to a machine. It can be used on machines that need to be regularly adjusted or inspected in order to work properly, for example.
The third flow follows the configuration and operation of a maintenance with meter and variable reading:
The articles that compose the flow illustrate a maintenance process with meter and variable reading for an organization's machine. This resource allows meters and variables to be used as points of inspection of an asset. That is, it allows for comparing the actual analysis with the specification values of the asset.
The fourth flow follows the configuration and operation of a maintenance route:
The articles that compose the flow illustrate a maintenance process involving a sequence of activities carried out on a production line. This resource refers to the maintenance of various assets or points within a comprehensive area. It works as a checklist for maintenances.
The fifth flow follows the configuration and operation of a third-party calibration with results per point:
The articles that compose the flow illustrate a third-party calibration on a micrometer with results per point. Conducted outside of the organization, it is controlled by SoftExpert Maintenance through values received from a third-party certifying body. The values received allow for determining whether the asset meets the specified parameters.
The sixth flow follows the configuration and operation of an internal calibration with measurement data collection:
The articles that compose the flow illustrate the internal calibration of a micrometer with measurement data collection. The calibration is carried out inside the organization itself, with a technician's validation and reading. The calibration standard used by the technician is specified in the system record. The objective is to maintain the asset with the expected readings.
The seventh flow follows the configuration and operation of a simplified calibration:
The articles that compose the flow illustrate the simplified calibration of a micrometer. Since it is simplified, the calibration has a basic table, which only allows for adding the desired value and the acceptable deviation, making for an uncomplicated calculation.
