Create a task
For this topic, the workspace needs to be properly created in the system. See further details in the Create a workspace topic.
Once these configurations are set, follow the steps below to create a task:
1st step: Create tasks through the backlog
The backlog stores all Kanban tasks and allows the user to manage tasks, such as creating tasks, editing previously created tasks, and configuring their prioritization.
To create a task through the backlog, access the KN011 menu, click on the arrow next to the Create button and select the Task option:
On the new task screen that will be opened, fill out the following fields:
Title: Name your task.
Priority: Set the priority level in accordance with how important the task is.
Task type: The types created in the Create a task type section will be shown. In this example, select the "Support" type.
Deadline: Set the deadline to finish the task.
After doing that, click on the Save button.
If necessary, repeat the process to create more tasks through the backlog.
With the tasks created, we can edit them by clicking on the More button.
It is also possible to prioritize tasks by dragging them in the Kanban. Tasks that are higher on the list will have a higher priority level.
Thus, we have finished creating tasks through the backlog.
2nd step: Create tasks through the Kanban workspace
To create a task through the workspace, access the KN008 menu.
Select the created board and click on the Create task button.
On the screen that will be opened, repeat the data input process as shown in the previous step.
Then, click on the Save button.
Using the Actions button, we can perform some operations with the tasks, such as: Edit, Delete and View.
Moreover, we can drag and drop tasks on the board lanes.
The task was created through the workspace!
