Approving the planning of a task

Prerequisites

  • Task planned with approval step.
  • Access to the My tasks menu.

 

Introduction

The planning approval resource in SoftExpert Time control ensures that nonproject tasks are analyzed before moving on to execution. 

It allows the responsible parties to review deadlines, allocations, and defined goals in order to align the organization's objectives. 

Using responsibility routes brings about flexibility when it comes to selecting the approvers. To learn more, access the Configuring the responsibility route article.

Planning approval tasks will be available in the My tasks menu.

See how to execute planning approval for a task below:

 

Approving planning

1. Access the My tasks > Planning approval menu.

2. Select the desired record and click on the Check icon. button.

3. On the screen that will open, review the record data.

4. Then, click on the Approve icon in green. button to approve, or on the Reject "X" icon in red. button to reject.

5. On the screen that will open, fill in the Comment field. Filling in this field will be mandatory if the record is rejected.

6. Finally, click on the Approve or Reject button to complete the operation. 

If the planning is rejected, the record will go back to the planning step. Otherwise, it will move on to the next step.

 
User following the steps above to approve the activity plan.

 

Conclusion

 With the planning approved, the record moves on to the task execution step.
