Prerequisites

Introduction

This configuration is exclusive for characteristics of the variable type and allows for creating value ranges to categorize readings, establishing an upper and a lower limit within which the measurements must remain.

The ranges will be used to generate the stoplight charts and the evaluation ranges, and can be renamed freely with expressions such as "Below expected", "Average", and "Above expected".

See a demonstration:

The values will follow the measurement unit initially configured. To learn more, access the Configuring a measurement unit article.

Conclusion

The evaluation ranges are applicable only to variable characteristics, as these characteristics have a continuous measurement, which allows for comparing exact numerical values with upper/lower limits.

To continue configuring the characteristics, refer to the Configuring a characteristic for collection article.
