After defining the characteristics of the item and associate it with the collection, as covered in the Planning a data collection article, it is possible to configure the characteristics in order for them to be collected just as planned.

Configuring characteristics provides the necessary flexibility to adapt default system configurations to the specific needs of the company. It enables a customized approach for SPC collection management, providing greater alignment with the reality of the organization.
