Prerequisites
- Access to the Execution > Request tracking (SR005) menu.
- Previously issued request.
- "View" control granted to the user in the request security for data display.
- "Print" control granted to the user in the request security for report generation.
- "To be executed" status, and "Cancel" control allowed in the request security for status change.
Introduction
Through the Request tracking (SR005) menu, it is possible to monitor whether the request is being executed as expected, check if deadlines are being met, identify any cancellations, among other important details for the management of the process.
A request can be tracked during all of its stages, from issuance to closure.
By default, the tracking menu displays all requests issued by the logged user, enabling a quick and efficient view of the status of each request.
If the user has been configured to have full or specific control over the records of a department, position, or user, the requests issued by that department, position, or user will be displayed as well. This configuration is set in the SoftExpert Administration component, from the File > Organizational unit > User (AD004) menu.
This article will show how to view the document print request developed for the flow example.
Tracking a request
1. Access the Execution > Request tracking (SR005) menu.
2. Fill out the search filters and click on SEARCH.
3. From the list of results, select the request you wish to track.
4. Expand the button and choose whether you wish to view the data of the request or of its object.
5. On the data screen that will open, it is possible to view any changes made to the request or to its object.
The following actions are also available in the main menu:
- Expand the button to configure and issue a request report or to export the view to an Excel file.
- Expand the More option and click on the button to change the status of the request selected from the list of records. The system asks for a countersign in order to perform this action if the "Request user countersign when performing critical operations in the components" option is checked in the SoftExpert Configuration (CM008) component.
Conclusion
The instructions in this article must be used during the execution of the request. Thus, now that you know how to track a request, the next step is to execute it.
