Sending a project to execution
Prerequisites
- Access to the Management > Project planning (PR011) menu.
- Project in the planning step.
Introduction
Once a project is planned, it must be moved forward to the next step configured in the work flow. This process marks the end of the planning phase and makes the project available for the responsible parties to start executing its tasks.
This article will demonstrate how to perform this operation, ensuring the correct transition of the project to the following step.
Sending the project to the next
1. Access the Management > Project planning (PR011) menu.
2. Locate and select the desired project.
3. Expand the More button and click on the Send to next step button.
4. Click on OK when the system asks whether you wish to send the project to the next step. The project will move on to one of the following steps:
- Approval: if the project type has approval configured, the system will send the project to the Project and program approval (RP012) menu in order for the responsible parties to approve its planning.
- Project tracking: if the project does not have approval configured in its type, the schedule tasks will be released for execution by the due responsible parties, and the project will be available for tracking through the Project tracking (PR013) menu.

- A screen will open reporting an error in case of any hindrances preventing the project from being sent to the next step. In this case, make the necessary adjustments and repeat the operation.
- When the planning of the project is closed, the executors of its tasks will be notified by e-mail. The task executors are also notified by e-mail when the project revision (if any) is closed and when the task that precedes the task under their responsibility has its execution finished.
