Using AI in PDF documents
Prerequisites
- SoftExpert Suite environment hosted in the cloud.
- Previously configured generative AI and NLP API.
- SoftExpert Document as part of the solutions acquired by the organization.
- Access to the Document (DC010) menu.
- Previously registered document, with an electronic file in PDF.
Introduction
SoftExpert Document offers the Chat with your document feature, which works as follows: when you ask a question, the generative AI analyzes the PDF document, finds relevant information, and provides the answers instantly.
This article will demonstrate the use of AI in SoftExpert Document.
Chat with your document
1. Access the Document (DC010) menu.
2. Search for and locate the document, ensuring that it contains a PDF file.
3. Click on the
icon in the EF (Electronic file) column or right-click on the document and select Open electronic file.
4. The file will open. Then, click on Chat with your document.
5. A dialog box will be displayed, presenting some feedback or questions to help in the interaction, but it is possible to ask any question pertinent to the document.
6. Ask the desired question and send it. The AI will generate the response, summarizing the information contained in the document. Additionally, the AI will identify questions that are not relevant to the analyzed PDF.
