Prerequisites

• Access to the Business rule (BR001) menu.
• Active SoftExpert Asset license.

Introduction

When creating a business rule, after setting the triggers, we need to configure the chosen action. 

The action of creating assets allows for automatically generating them in SoftExpert Asset.

This feature is intended to integrate processes that require the immediate addition of assets from events or records created in the system.

See how to configure an asset creation action in the business rule:
 

Configuring an asset creation action

1. Access the Business rule (BR001) menu and click on the Create button.

2. Select the component and choose the desired trigger.

3. In the following step, click on the Then an asset is created option.

4. Click on the Configure SoftExpert Suite application button.

5. On the screen that will open, enter the data that will be inserted when the asset is created, including asset ID #, asset name, and asset type ID #.

6. With the data filled out, click on the Finish button.

Conclusion

The asset creation action has been configured and is ready to be executed after the business rule is created.
