Defining an asset

Prerequisites

Introduction

The asset definition menu is meant for registering assets, which are considered as an organization's property (machines, equipment, and vehicles).

In the system, an asset can be created from scratch or by means of a previously configured template to facilitate the creation of records that have similar information.

In the record, it is possible to enter a quantity for the same asset, which dispenses with the need to have a record for every identical asset.

This feature is different for computers, as each one needs a detailed record. In this case, it is possible to import computers belonging to the organization and update them regularly, with details such as installed software, for example.

In this article, we will define an asset from scratch, illustrating a micrometer record.
