Creating a document x copy station matrix
Prerequisites
- Access to the File > Document X Copy station matrix (DC005) menu.
- Document created in a category with copy distribution configured.
- Configured copy station.
Introduction
The File > Document X Copy station matrix menu allows for associating documents with the desired copy stations, making it easier to control the physical distribution of copies. In addition to the association, it is possible to schedule the number of copies that the stations must generate.
This article will show how to create this record, optimizing the management of physical copies and promoting greater efficiency in the administration of distributed documents.
Associating a document matrix with a copy station
1. Access the File > Document X Copy station matrix (DC005) menu.
2. Click on the toolbar button.
3. Select the copy station with which you will associate documents and click on the button.
4. Use the filters to locate and select the desired documents.
- Documents with cancelled, indexing, and indexing approval statuses will not be shown for selection.
- Holding the SHIFT or CTRL key down or using the check mark next to each record helps you select the desired documents more quickly.
5. Fill in the # of copies field with the number of copies scheduled for the copy station.
6. Click on the button to save the selection.

The user can associate only the documents in which they have "Distribute copy" permission granted in their security list. However, if the user is part of the team responsible for distributing the copies, which is defined in the Control tab of the Printed copy section on the category data screen, they can associate any document from the category if they have the "View" permission.
Conclusion
Thus, the document matrix is duly associated with a copy station, and the printed copy sending task will be generated for the responsible parties. Now, the next step is to issue a copy protocol.
