Prerequisites

  • Access to the Configuration > Type menu.
  • Access to the Configuration > Category menu.

This association will only work if the type or category revision is not a Simplified revision.

Introduction

After configuring the validity, we will associate it with a type or category, depending on the component of which the object is part.

By associating the validity, we ensure objects created from the configured type or category have the planned revalidation configurations.

See examples of how to perform this step below.

Configuring a validity in the category

1. Access the Configuration > Category menu.

2. Locate the desired record and click on the button.

3. On the data screen of the selected record, click on the Control tab.

4. Then, select the Validity section. In this section, select the validity configuration to be applied to the category.

5. After doing that, click on the button.

Configuring a validity in the type

1. Access the Configuration > Type menu.

2. Locate the desired type and click on the button.

3. On the data screen of the selected record, enable the Revalidation button.

4. Then, select the previously configured validity in the Revalidation field.

5. After doing that, click on the button.

Note that, depending on the component, the object may be created through a type or a category. Thus, the screens may differ slightly from case to case.

Conclusion

After associating the validity with the type/category, the next step is to create an object with validity.
