Creating a third-party entity

Prerequisite

  • Access to the File > Third-party entity (PM018) menu.

Introduction

A third-party entity represents people, organizations, or units that interact with the process but do not belong to the internal structure defined in the system.

In SoftExpert Process, the registration of third-party entities allows for formally adding these participants, which enables their association with activities, responsibilities, or specific flows.

As an example, the “Regulatory authority” entity will be created to be later associated with a purchase request process.

Creating a third-party entity

1. Access the File > Third-party entity (PM018) menu.

2. Click on the +Create button.

3. Enter the ID # and name of the third-party entity.

4. If necessary, enter additional data on the entity in the Description field.

5. Click on the Save and exit icon. button.

If SoftExpert Copilot is part of the solutions acquired by the organization, it is possible to use the With AI agent option to record information with the aid of artificial intelligence. For further details about this operation, refer to the Using AI to create records article.

AI can also be used to help create the description of the records. Refer to the Using AI to create and edit text article for further details.

Conclusion

The third-party entity has been created and can be used to add process inputs and outputs.
