Creating an information warehouse

Prerequisite

  • Access to the File > Information warehouse (PM016) menu.

Introduction

An information warehouse is a resource used to organize and structure data that supports the modeling and documentation of processes. It allows organizing relevant information that can be used as a reference in the definition of process inputs and outputs.

By creating an information warehouse, the organization establishes a central point to store and manage strategic data, promoting greater standardization, traceability, and consistency in the information used during modeling.

As an example, the “Annual budget plan” warehouse will be created, which can be used in the inputs and outputs of a purchase request process.

Creating an information warehouse

1. Access the File > Information warehouse (PM016) menu.

2. Click on the +Create button.

3. On the screen that will open, enter an ID # and a name.

4. If necessary, use the Description field to provide additional data about the information warehouse.

5. Click on the Save and exit icon. button.

If SoftExpert Copilot is part of the solutions acquired by the organization, it is possible to use the With AI agent option to create the warehouses with the aid of artificial intelligence. For further details about this operation, refer to the Using AI to create records article.

AI can also be used to help create the description of the records. Refer to the Using AI to create and edit text article for further details.

Conclusion

All done! The information warehouse will be created and ready to be used in process data.
