Lessons learned allow for the recording of knowledge acquired throughout the FMEA process, based on the identification of failures, risks, and implemented actions. 

This record contributes to the standardization of organizational learning, preventing the recurrence of problems and supporting the continuous improvement of the processes, products, or projects analyzed.

In SoftExpert FMEA, lessons learned are recorded directly in the AIAG & VDA FMEA framework, in a specific tab, allowing for detailed documentation of the experiences gained during the analysis.

Apply lessons learned

1. Access the Management > FMEA (FM012) menu, locate the desired FMEA and click the button .

2. On the AIAG & VDA FMEA framework screen, select the Lessons Learned tab.

3. In the field provided for recording, describe the lessons learned throughout the analysis, considering aspects such as:

• Recurring problems identified.
• Good practices adopted during the process.
• Actions that have proven effective in reducing risks.
• Recommendations for future similar analyses.

4. Use the text field editing features to format the content, including bold, lists, and other elements that make it easier to read.

5. If necessary, insert images or media that complement the record of lessons learned, enriching the documentation.

6. After completing the form, finalize the registration by clicking the Save button.

The lessons learned and recorded can be used later in generating FMEA reports, contributing to the dissemination of knowledge.
