How to configure a workflow start action
Prerequisites
- Access to the Business rule (BR001) menu.
- Active SoftExpert Workflow license.
Introduction
When creating a business rule, after setting the triggers, we need to configure the chosen action.
The action of starting workflows allows for automatically initiating them in SoftExpert Workflow.
It is used to automate approval flows, exception treatments, or process execution whenever a condition defined in the rule is met.

Configuring a workflow start action
1. Access the Business rule (BR001) menu and click on the Create button.
2. Select the component and choose the desired trigger.
3. In the following step, click on the Then a workflow is started option.
4. Click on the Configure SoftExpert Suite application button.
5. On the screen that will open, enter the data that will be inserted when the workflow is started, including process ID #, workflow title, and starter user ID.
6. With the data filled out, click on the Finish button.
