Information per collection sample

Introduction

Besides characteristic readings, collected samples contain additional information that is crucial to analyzing and identifying behavioral patterns and deviations.

Such information includes:

Machine: equipment responsible for manufacturing the item.

Operator: person responsible for controlling the machine during the manufacturing of the item.

Inspector: person responsible for item quality and data collection.

Gage: object used to acquire collection characteristic data.

Shift: time range in which the collection was carried out.

Lot: Item lot identification for future reference.

MO (Manufacturing order): number of the item manufacturing order.

Attachment: Complementary documents related to each sample characteristic.

It is important to note that machine and gage information will only be available if the company has SoftExpert Asset, and the "Assets" option is checked in the Integration tab of the general parameters. Otherwise, these fields will remain disabled.

Besides this data, it is possible to complement the information by adding attributes that must be filled out per sample for specific characteristics. For further details on the options available for each information type, refer to the following articles:

  • Required sample information: this article covers the configuration that makes it a requirement to provide some pieces of information.
  • Parameterizing sample information: this article covers specific parameterizations for each field, such as shift, gage, and machine, ensuring data precision.
  • Copying sample data: this article explains the feature that makes it easier to fill out attributes per sample, which results in a more efficient process.
