Training - 2.2.0

Forum in training

One of the most used tools in courses and trainings is the discussion forum, which works as a communication space for instructors and students, allowing students to get to know each other, talk, and exchange questions and experiences.

From this version onwards, it will be possible to create forums related to courses and trainings in SoftExpert Training, which will be moderated by instructors or parties responsible for the course or training, who will track the development of the discussions created in the forum, intervening if necessary and enabling the student understanding process.

On SoftExpert Suite, forums related to a course or training can be accessed through the page of each item in the student portal, or through the Tools > Forum menu.

Through the course or training page, the system will display a group with existing related topics and it will allow the user to create a new related topic.

Through the tool menu, the system will also allow the creation of new topics, but it will be necessary to manually select the course or training.

For topics of on-site trainings, all training participants, instructors, and responsible team will automatically be part of the forum, without the need to add them manually.

For topics of e-learning courses, only the instructors and the responsible team will automatically be part of it. Users enrolled in the course will have access to course topics created by other users, with the ability to participate, view, and ask new questions.

Forums have a mention feature, which consists of typing "@" to display the list of forum participants, indicating who is an instructor and who is a participant. Whenever there is a mention or the Notify participants option is checked, the system will send a notification.

Moreover, in the course and training data, a new tab for related forums has been added, in which it will be possible to view all related topics so that the responsible parties can manage them.

Article as training content (Integration with SoftExpert Knowledge Base)

It will be possible to use SoftExpert Knowledge Base articles as content for courses and trainings.

To do so, the new Article content type has been added, allowing users to choose an article to be displayed.

When opening the content player in the training, the system will display the current revision of the article.

Improvements in the student portal pages

Several ergonomic and visual improvements have been made to the pages of courses and trainings available in the portals.

These pages now have visual resources that enable a better identification of information related to the course, training, content, prerequisites, instructors, and more.

These changes are also reflected when accessing the portal pages on mobile, as the buttons will be more visible and browsing will be more intuitive for the users.

Resource allocation vision in calendar view

Resource allocation view is now a vision within the training calendar view. Thus, managing the training calendar, with room reservations and audio-visual resource allocations, becomes easier. Filters and analyses (SoftExpert Analytics) that existed in allocation view have been kept.

Options for ID # and name (type and course) in course and training masks

From this version onwards, an item for the ID # and one for the name of the course type will be made available in the course mask configuration.

An item for the ID # and one for the name of the course will also be made available in the training mask. Until now, there was a single item for the course type (course mask) and a single item for the course (training mask) which generated an ID # by joining the ID # and the name of the item.

With the separation, the user can choose the desired item, generating ID #s that are more appropriate to their needs.

Existing masks will use the ID # of course type item for the previous Course type (Course), and ID # of course for the previous Course (Training).

Ability to cancel open trainings when disabling a course

From this version onwards, it will be possible to cancel open trainings for the course being disabled.

When confirming whether the course will be disabled, the system will ask if the user also wishes to cancel open trainings for that course (if any).

By confirming, in addition to disabling the course, the system will also automatically cancel open trainings.

Absent employee warning in the training record

From this version onwards, the system will alert the party responsible for the training when there are absent participants in its period.

In this case, the system will display an alert on the data screen informing that there are participants that will be absent during the training period, and they can be viewed through the "Participant" tab.

This tab will have an option to view the participants absent in the period and an absence column in the listing indicating those users.

From this version onwards, the system will alert when there is an object related to the course that has not been associated with the training.

This may happen when the user registering the training does not have training registration permission in the document security, or when the document does not have a revision that requires training, for example.

In these cases, the system will alert executors with the "There are objects in the course that have not been associated with the training. Ensure the rules for the document training registration have been met" message on the training data screen, to make them aware of the situation and able to make any adjustments.

The message will be displayed while the training is under planning or execution until the course objects are associated with the training.

This feature will not be applicable when the training course is "SEOBJ".

URL to open training certificate in Analytics

A URL to open the training certificate of the participant through SoftExpert Analytics has been added.

To use it, it is necessary to enter the code of the participant in the training, found in the CDTRAINUSER field of the TRTRAINUSER table.

This field has been added by default in SoftExpert Analytics for the Training participation (Training participant code) view, but it can be added to other analyses that use the TRTAINUSER table.

The URL that must be used to open the certificate is:

hdm/hdm_synthetic_window.php?fgwindow=8&cdtrainuser=<CDTRAINUSER_TEXT>

The certificate will only be displayed if the training has been configured to generate a certificate, the participant has been approved, the training is closed, and the logged user has permission to view the certificate of that participant.

Otherwise, the system will display an alert indicating that the certificate cannot be generated.
