Version 3

Prerequisites

  • To update the system to version 3.0, you must be in version 2.2.
  • Refer to the System requirements document to assess the requirements that must be met before implementing SoftExpert Suite version 3.
  • Initially, the installation must be applied in a test environment. This step is aimed at validating the system installation process in the customer's environment, and allowing end users to validate their critical processes within an environment working in parallel with the production environment.

Restrictions

Please be aware of the following restrictions before updating SoftExpert Suite:

  • SQLServer 2019 has been invalidated due to the end of its support to the system in February 2025.
  • Ubuntu 20.04, Redhat 8, and Oracle Linux 7.9 have been invalidated due to the end of their support.
  • Activation key: the license keys used up until version 2.1 will remain valid, but if you wish to use the new components launched in this version, request a new key to SoftExpert.
  • As of version 2.2.2, TLS versions 1.0 and 1.1 are no longer supported for database connection. Only TLS 1.2 or later versions are supported.
  • As of version 2.2.4, PostgreSQL versions 15, 16, and 17 are valid for new installations. Customers that update existing databases to these database versions must run tests in staging environments in order to validate the functioning of portals, analyses, datasets, forms, and formulas with their own SQL syntax. Due to the potential impact from PostgreSQL version 15, SQL syntaxes might be affected, so customers might have to perform adjustments.
  • SoftExpert Suite version 3.0 will no longer support installations and updates in traditional environments; only Full Docker installations will be supported.
