Create a waste with revision control

This topic will teach you how to create a waste with revision control.

To this end, simply follow the steps below:

 

1st step: Creating a waste type

To create a waste type, access the WA018 menu and click on the button:

On the screen that will be opened, enter "OED" for the ID # and "Oils and derivates" for the name of the waste type.

In the General tab, fill in the following fields:

  • Responsible team: Select the team that will be responsible for all wastes classified by this type. As a result, when a waste is created, the responsible team entered in this field with be shown.

If there is none, click on the button next to the field. On the screen that will open, enter an ID # and name for the team and save it. On the Member tab, associate your user with the team and click on the button.

  • Measurement unit: Set the unit through which the wastes of this type will be measured. As a result, when a waste is created, the selected measurement unit will be shown.

If there is no record previously created in your environment, click on the button next to the field and, on the screen that will open, enter an ID #, the name of the desired measurement unit, and click on the button.

Then, in the Revision tab, check the "Control revision" option as fill out the fields as described below:

Click on the button. All done! We have configured a waste type with revision control.

 

2nd step: Creating the waste

We will now create a waste with revision control. To do so, go to the WA003 menu and click on the button.

Then, select the waste type with revision control, created in the previous step.

On the screen that will be opened, enter "OIL-001" as its ID #. In the Name field, enter the "Machine oil" name for the waste."

Note that the Responsibility team and Measurement unit fields are completed with the team and default unit set in the type.

Still on the data screen, click on the Properties tab. To define the machine oil properties:

In the fields mentioned below, click on the button. On the screen that will be displayed, type in the required information and save.

Fill out the fields as described below:

  • Physical state: Select the "Liquid" option.
  • Odor: Click on the button and fill out the screen that will be opened with "001" for the ID # and "Strong" for the name. Save the record.
  • Color: Click on the button and fill out the screen that will be opened with "Oil" for the ID # and "Brown" for the color. Save the record.
  • Hazard: Click on the button and fill out the screen that will be opened with "001" for the ID # and "Non-hazardous" for the name. Save the record.
  • Waste classification: Click on the button and fill out the screen that will be opened with "Class 2B" for the ID # and "Inert" for the name. Save the record.

Then, click on the Save option on the toolbar.

Confirm the request made by the system to start a new revision.

In the waste data, click on Revision > Participant.

From the side toolbar, click on the button and take the following steps:

1. On the screen that will be opened, select the "User" option in the Control field.

2. Fill in the User filter with your user's data and press ENTER.

3. Expand the list of the Step field and check the "Draft" option.

4. Enter the number "5" in the Deadline (days) field.

5. Select the record of your user in the listing and click on the button.

Save the record. Because your user is the waste drafter, the button that allows executing the revision will be shown.
