Configuring occurrences
Prerequisite
- Access to the Configuration > Occurrence (SP017) menu.
Introduction
Occurrences are facts that determine changes in the course of a process. Examples of occurrences include machinery adjustment or a need for raw material replacement, for example.
These changes can affect the quality of a product or the efficiency of a process, requiring corrective actions to maintain proper control.
When a parameter is not within a pre-established limit, or something out of the standard happens, the system records an occurrence. This helps ensure that the process meets the specifications and that variations are handled efficiently.

Conclusion
Defining occurrences is essential for the actions related to the event log; these actions will be resumed in the collection execution step, after planning. This control ensures that the process follows the established norms and standards, promoting traceability and compliance.
With the initial configurations of SoftExpert SPC all set, the next step consists of planning the data collection.
