Creating a standard activity for calibration
Prerequisites
- Access to the File > Standard activity (MA049) menu.
- Previously configured standard activity type.
- Previously created team.
Introduction
A standard activity is a mandatory record in the process of creating all maintenance, calibration, and verification types. Its main function is to parameterize all activities and plans that will be created from it. The objective of this article is to specify the configurations that the standard activity must have in order to be used in the creation of calibration plans.
Calibration consists of a set of operations that establish, under specified conditions, a relationship between the values indicated by a measuring gauge or measuring system and the values represented by a materialized measure or a reference material, or the corresponding values of the magnitudes established by standards. Due to these properties, it has specific resources in the system and differs from the maintenance and verification creation process.
All resources involving the configuration of a standard calibration activity will be described in this article. The example that will be used in the simplified-calibration flow will be developed in the Adding a simple table article.
Creating a standard activity for calibration
Watch the video below and learn how to configure a standard calibration activity:
The insertion of calibration tables is described separately in the articles below. Finish configuring the standard activity by adding the table that suits your record:
An Incomplete record warning will be displayed on the calibration data screen when information required for the calibration has not been provided. In this case, the data must be corrected in order for the calibration to work correctly in the execution step.
- All sections and fields of the standard activity that do not necessarily concern the calibration were described in the video available in the Creating a standard activity article. Watch it if you have any doubts about a resource not covered here.
- Every time a table is added/deleted, the system automatically updates all assets that use the configuration.
Conclusion
After saving the standard activity record, with the table added, use it to create a calibration plan.
