After identifying the risks in the FMEA and registering the corrective or preventive actions, the next step is to implement these actions and reassess the associated indicators. This step is crucial to verify whether the measures adopted were effective in reducing the identified risks.

In SoftExpert FMEA, actions are executed through a specific task, directed to the designated person responsible. During this execution, in addition to recording the progress of the action, the user can review the Severity, Occurrence, and Detection indices, allowing the system to automatically recalculate the risk indicators after the action is implemented.

Here's how to perform the actions:

Execute actions and reassess indicators.

1. Access the Task Center and locate the Action Execution task associated with FMEA.

2. Select the action to be performed and click the button in the toolbar to open the action data screen.

3. In the Execution tab, fill in the action information:

• Start date: Enter the actual start date of the activity. The system does not allow future dates.
• End date: Enter the actual completion date of the activity. If the activity is not yet completed, leave this field blank. When you fill in the end date, the % Actual field will be automatically adjusted to 100%.
• % Actual: Enter the percentage of the action completed. The action will only be considered completed when this field has a value greater than 1%. If you enter 100%, the system will automatically fill in the end date with the current date.
• Action taken: describe the action that is being or has been performed.
• User who performed the action: field automatically filled by the system with the name of the user who performed the action.

4. Access the Index Review tab to reassess the indexes associated with the stock.

• At the top of the screen, view the current Severity, Occurrence, and Detection rates.
• Below, enter the revised indices by selecting new values ​​in the corresponding fields.
• Based on the values ​​provided, the system will automatically calculate the S×O, SOD, SD, and NPR indices.
• The fields for reviewing indexes will only be available if this option is enabled in the system's general settings.

5. After filling in all the necessary information, click Save.

6. Upon saving, the system will display a message asking if the action should be sent for approval, according to the chosen configuration.
