Configuring an Intelligent Document Processing (IDP) API
Prerequisites
- SoftExpert Suite environment hosted in the cloud.
- Previously configured Azure AI Document Intelligence Integration API.
- Access to the Configuration > Integration center (COP010) menu.
- ''AI features'' permission enabled in Configuration > Access group (CM011) > Other permissions > AI features.
Introduction
The IDP tab, available in Copilot's Integration center, is used to configure the API responsible for the automated extraction of data from files sent to the system.
Intelligent Document Processing (IDP) allows structured information to be extracted from documents such as forms, PDFs, and images, optimizing operational flows that involve reading, filling out, and analyzing data.
This article presents the procedure for configuring an IDP API.
Configuring an IDP API
1. Access the Configuration > Integration center (COP010) menu.
2. Click on the IDP tab and then on the Associate button.
3. Select the desired API, which can be Azure AI Document Intelligence (previously registered) or SoftExpert Suite (system default).

5. The associated API will be shown on the list.
- If the associated API is SoftExpert Suite, it will be possible to view the consumption of the current month, based on the number of processed documents.
- To remove the API, select the desired option and click on Disassociate.
- After configuring the IDP API, it is possible to use it in the Recognition profile menu of SoftExpert Capture by adding a new record with the intelligent document processing feature. For further details, refer to the Azure IDP for data extraction documentation.
