Creating company types

 

Prerequisite

  • Access to the Configuration > Company type (AD022) menu.

 

Introduction

The Configuration > Company type (AD022) menu allows for adding and classifying all types of business partners, such as customers, companies, manufacturers, and suppliers, that will be used in SoftExpert Suite.

To facilitate organization and visualization, company types are presented in a hierarchical manner, enabling intuitive navigation.

 

Creating a company type

1. Access the Configuration > Company type (AD022) menu.

2. Click on the toolbar button.

3. On the screen that will open, in the General tab, enter a name and an ID # for the type.

4. Fill in the Upper level type field so that the type being created is the subtype of another one.

5. Configure the Identification mask field so that companies of this type have a standardized ID #. For further details, click here.

6. Click on the button to enable the other tabs.

7. In the Attribute tab, insert the additional fields that will be filled in for companies of this type. For further details, click here.

8. In the Type security tab, define who can access the type and what operations the users can perform. For further details, click here.

9. In the Form tab, add or associate the forms that will be filled out for the companies of this type. For more details on how to create a form, click here.

 The Form tab will only be available if SoftExpert Form is part of the solutions acquired by the organization.

 

 

Conclusion

Good organization improves the efficiency of business partner management and strengthens the organization's operational and commercial strategies.

With the type duly created, it is possible to register companies and manufacturers in the system.
