Synchronizing calendars
Prerequisites
- Access to the Configuration > Calendar synchronization (CM031) menu.
- Having a corporate Office 365 - Microsoft Office 365 account.
- Configuring Azure Active Directory - Microsoft Office 365.
- Having a Google Workspace - Google Calendar account.
- Configuring Google Cloud Platform - Google Calendar.
- Configuring Google Admin Console - Google Calendar.
Introduction
The Configuration component provides a menu in which it is possible to enable and configure a synchronization between SoftExpert Suite and the Microsoft Office 365 calendar or Google Calendar.
With this synchronization, the system can create, update, and delete events on these calendars, such as meetings scheduled via SoftExpert Meeting.

Enabling a calendar synchronization
1. Access the Configuration > Calendar synchronization (CM031) menu.
2. Enable the Enable calendar synchronization option.
3. Choose the desired calendar service and fill in the necessary fields:
Microsoft Office 365

Client ID: enter the ID of the application (client), obtained when it was configured in Azure Active Directory.
Client Secret: enter the secret value of the client, obtained when it was configured in Azure Active Directory.
Instance: enter the ID of the directory (tenant), obtained when it was configured in Azure Active Directory.
Test the configuration: enter a valid e-mail and click on the Test button. At this point, a message will be displayed informing whether the applied configuration is valid or not.

Google Calendar

In the Service credentials field, upload the .json file obtained when the Google Calendar API was configured.
To do so, drag and drop it in the specified area or use the link to select it. With this done, the content of the file will be displayed right below.
Test the configuration: enter a valid e-mail and click on the Test button. At this point, a message will be displayed informing whether the applied configuration is valid or not.

4. After filling in the necessary fields and testing the configuration, click on the Save configurations button.
