• Access the File > Item Family (IT044) menu.
• Type of item previously registered.
• Pre-configured unit of measurement 

Introduction

Item families are designed to group items that share common characteristics, resulting in better control over related items. 

Items within a family automatically inherit all of its characteristics, allowing for direct editing through the family management system.

See below how to register a family of items:

Register item family

1. Access the menu Registration > Item Family (IT044) menu.

2. Click the button to add a family of items.

3. Select the item type that classifies the family and click the button .

4. On the screen that will open, enter an identifier and a name for the item family.

5. Also specify a responsible team and a unit of measurement to be used.

6. In the Properties tab, enter the data related to the item family, such as physical condition, color, ABNT code, etc. 

7. In Characteristics, the control characteristics of the items and their respective production processes can be associated:

• Item family : include control characteristics for the items in the family.
• Item x Process : Include process control characteristics specific to the items in the family.
• Process : Include characteristics for controlling production processes.

8. In the Companies section, it is possible to associate manufacturers, suppliers, carriers, and customers with the item family.

9. In the Family Items section, the items registered in the system are displayed. 

10. Click the Save and Exit button to save the item family registration.
