Configuring an e-mail server
Prerequisite
- Access to the SoftExpert Configuration > Configuration > E-mail server (CM010) menu.
Introduction
It is necessary to record the e-mail servers that will be used to send notifications about system tasks.
To do so, your organization must have a hired e-mail server to be able to register it in the system.
Configuring an e-mail server
See a practical example of the configuration of an e-mail server in the video below:
There must always be a default e-mail server, so that the system knows which server to use when sending notifications; thus, if there is only one e-mail server configured in the system, it will be the default.
Conclusion
Configured servers are ready to be used to send system notifications to employee e-mail addresses.
Note that the sending of system notifications must be enabled and configured in the Configuration > E-mail notification (CM022) menu of the Configuration component.
Perform an e-mail sending test to ensure notifications are being sent correctly!
