Configuring a MySQL data source
Prerequisites
- Access to the Data source management > Data sources > Database (DI003) menu.
- Having a MySQL database installed and configured.
Introduction
SoftExpert Suite allows for creating and configuring MySQL data sources.

Configuring a MySQL data source
1. Access the Data source management > Data sources > Database (DI003) menu.
2. Click on the button.
3. In the Driver field, choose the MySQL option.
4. Enter the MySQL database connection information, including database name, host (server name), port, username. and password.
5. Test the connection by clicking on the button.
6. If the connection is successful, the message Successful connection will be displayed; click on the button.

Make sure that your SoftExpert Suite instance has access to the MySQL database and that the inserted credentials are correct.
Additionally, a user account with the minimum required permissions is recommended for access to the desired data.
Conclusion
All done! The MySQL data source is now created and can be used in external attributes, in SoftExpert Analytics, or in datasets.
