Associating attributes with the event log

 

Prerequisites

 

Introduction

After generating the event log, it is possible to use attributes in order to complement the information recorded in it.

Attributes can be associated directly with specific data collections, or be configured in the general parameters so that all new collections are created with the information. 

See the steps for each one of these situations:

Associating attributes with the event log of all collections

1. Access the Configuration > General parameters (SP019) menu.

2. Click on the Event log tab.

3. Scroll down on the screen and, in the Attributes for event log section, click on the Associate icon. button.

4. On the attribute selection screen, choose the desired attributes.

5. Click on the Save and new icon. button to save and associate new attributes, or on the Save and exit icon. button to finish.

Associating attributes with the event log of a specific collection

1. Access the Management > Event log (SP026) menu, the Management > Collection planning (SP003) menu, or the Management > Collection tracking (SP004) menu.

2. Select the collection with which the attributes will be associated and click on the Edit icon. button.

3. From the collection configuration data screen, access the Attribute for event log tab.

4. Click on the Associate icon. button and select the attributes you wish to associate.

5. Click on the Save and new icon. button to save and associate new attributes, or on the Save and exit icon. button to finish.
