Required sample information
Prerequisite
- Access to the Configuration > General parameters (SP019) menu.
Introduction
The system allows users to define that certain information fields will be mandatory, ensuring that data of vital importance for the analysis and recording of samples is always provided.
It is important to note that machine and gage information will only be available if the company has SoftExpert Asset, and the "Assets" option is checked in the Integration tab of the general parameters. Otherwise, these fields will remain disabled.

Required sample information
1. Access the Configuration > General parameters (SP019) menu.
2. Click on the Data collection configuration tab.
3. Check the Enable for editing option to allow users to change the information of the field.
4. Check the Required option to make the completion of the field mandatory.
5. Click on the 
button.
Conclusion
Thus, when creating a new data collection, the fields marked as required in the general parameters must be necessarily filled in. The required-field configuration will not be applied to collections already added in the system.
