Learn about SoftExpert Project

Welcome!

SoftExpert Project is a complete solution for the management of projects, programs, and portfolios, offering a range of features that automate and streamline management practices. With a full-web interface, it allows for planning, executing, monitoring, and closing projects efficiently, which ensures alignment with the organization's strategic objectives.

The solution makes it possible to manage:

Projects – Set of structured tasks aimed at delivering products, services, or specific results, considering the scope, the resources, the deadlines, and risk management.

Programs – Interconnected groups of projects that share the same resources and objectives, providing benefits that would not be possible in an isolated manner.

Portfolios – Broad set of projects and programs organized to ensure strategic alignment, optimize resource allocation, and prioritize initiatives.

Moreover, SoftExpert Project features detailed charts and reports for performance analysis, financial control, and indicator tracking, making management more agile, transparent, and strategic.

Shall we start?

By following the steps in the flows below, you will be able to configure and operate SoftExpert Project successfully.

The first flow refers to the planning of projects through templates:

Gear icon with a white background and blue details, which leads to the step where the project type is configured.
Document icon with a white background and blue details, which leads to the step where a project template is created.
Clipboard with pencil icon, with a white background and blue details, which leads to the step where project planning is performed.

This creation template is useful for scenarios in which similar projects need to be created very often. In this case, simply build a project structure once and use it whenever necessary. The template of a software development project will be used as an example.

The second flow demonstrates the creation of projects from scratch:

Clipboard with pencil icon, with a white background and blue details, which leads to the step where project planning is performed.
Clipboard with magnifying glass icon, with a white background and blue details, which leads to the step where project tracking is performed.
Clipboard with play symbol icon, with a white background and blue details, which leads to the step where project task execution is performed.
Clipboard with check mark icon, with a white background and blue details, which leads to the step where project closure is performed.

This flow is recommended for task management. To illustrate, it will demonstrate the planning of an app development project.

The third flow refers to the process of creating programs:

Document with pencil icon, with a white background and blue details, which leads to the step where the program type is configured.
Document with pencil icon, with a white background and blue details, which leads to the step where program planning is performed.
Document with magnifying glass icon, with a white background and blue details, which leads to the step where program tracking is performed.
Document with chart and check mark icon, with a white background and blue details, which leads to the step where the projects and programs in the structure are closed.
Document with check mark icon, with a white background and blue details, which leads to the step where program closure is performed.

This flow is recommended for relating different projects to the same objective. To demonstrate the creation of a program, a digital transformation initiative will be used as an example.

The fourth flow shows how to work with portfolios:

Presentation board icon with a white background and blue details, which leads to the step where the portfolio type is configured.
Presentation board with bar chart icon, with a white background and blue details, which leads to the step where a portfolio is created.

We recommend using portfolios when there are various projects and programs that need to be related and managed together. A portfolio with innovation and growth projects and programs will be developed as an example.

The fifth flow refers to the planning of project audits:

Screen with gear icon, with a white background and blue details, which leads to the step where the project type is configured.
Book with gear icon, with a white background and blue details, which leads to the step where the audit category is configured.
