Introduction

Permission profile is a generic resource that groups access controls to distribute them easily to teams, users, positions, departments, and organizations. Upon creating it, it is possible to define where it will be applied and the controls that it will have. 

Every record needs an associated permission profile; thus, SoftExpert Suite has predetermined profiles that cannot be deleted. This feature is used in all components that have security in their records.

For an example of its usage, we will suppose that the strategy team of an organization must analyze a risk to create a proper action plan. This team will need to access some records to perform this task. Thus, it is necessary to create a permission profile with controls that fit the access needs of this team.
