Tracking data import
Prerequisites
- Access to the Tool > Import > Tracking (CM015) menu.
- Data import executed in the system.
Introduction
Through SoftExpert Configuration, it is possible to view all records imported into the SoftExpert Suite components, which allows for tracking them and fixing imports that have not had the expected result.
All import records are gathered in the Tracking (CM015) menu.
To fix imports that have not been executed as planned, their data is exported to a file in .xls format. Then, once corrected, the data can be imported again.
See how to access this menu and what features it has available:

• If the Remove successfully executed imports option is checked on the scheduling data screen, the records imported through scheduling will not be shown in this menu.
• The ADINTERFACE table stores all import records for future use. It can be fed in different ways: directly through the database, in which information is inserted by third-party systems; through automatic imports from the "import" directory; or also through the import of XLS/XLSX files, which can be uploaded directly by the user through this menu.
• More details about import options can be found in the SoftExpert Suite - Integration guide document.
Spreadsheet import warnings
To successfully import a spreadsheet into SoftExpert Suite, take some details into consideration.
See below the precautions that must be taken:
Regional options verification
Before importing a spreadsheet, it is important to remember that some spreadsheet editing tools consider the regional configurations of the machine, which may affect how decimal separators are interpreted. For example, to use a comma (,) as decimal separator, it is necessary to configure the language option as "English (USA)".
For a detailed description on how to change the language option with regional decimal separator, in Excel, see the Change the character used to separate thousands or decimals article by Microsoft®.
Required columns verification
To guarantee a successful import, it is paramount that the spreadsheet contains all the columns found in the import template, even if some of them are not being used. If there is any column missing, the import will be interrupted, and a message requesting the insertion of the missing columns will be displayed.
Field size verification
It is important to refer to the "Interface data template" topic in the SoftExpert Suite - Integration guide document to check the maximum size supported by each field in SoftExpert Suite. If any cell in the spreadsheet exceeds these limits, no record will be successfully imported.
Among the spreadsheet fields, some details may be taken into consideration: NMFIELD fields have a maximum limit of 255 characters, whereas DSFIELD fields accept 4000 characters.
Date
For attributes with date-type values, the format must be “YYYY/MM/DD”. For example: 2024/03/15.
