Issue a request
In this topic, we will teach you how to issue a request from scratch.
To this end, just follow the steps below:
1st step: Create a request type
Types organize requests, in addition to defining their object, how they will be operated and how they will behave. For this topic, we will create a request type referring to document creation.
To create a request type, access the SR016 menu and click on the button.
On the screen that will open, enter "001" for ID #, and "Document creation" for name.
In the Object type field, select the "Document" option.
In the Operation field, select the "Creation" option.
Select the "Variable" option in the Responsible for execution section.
Click on the button from the data screen.
Then, click on the button, from the Security > Request tab.
In the Access type field, on the screen that will open, select the "All" option.
In the Controls field, check all available options (just click on the asterisk) and click on the button.
Click on the button from the data screen.
2nd step: Issue the request
With the type created in the previous step, it is possible to issue requests in the system.
To do so, access the SR003 menu and click on the button.
Then, select the type created in the previous step to classify the request.
On the screen that will open, fill in the ID # field with "DOC-001". If you prefer to generate a sequential identifier, click on the arrow next to the field.
Fill in the Name field with "Work instruction document COD0036".
In the Responsible for execution section, select your user.
In the Description field, Summary tab, type "Create work instruction document".
In the Explanation field, type "The document is necessary for new employees to learn the initial activities related to the functions of the work in question".
Click on Save, and then on Save and exit. Confirm the system message.
All done. The request has been created and moved on to the next step already!
