Create a production inspection
This topic will teach you to perform tests for products being produced; thus, we will use production inspection.
To do this, simply follow the steps below:
1st step: Configuring an item for the production inspection
To perform this step, access the IT011 menu, select the item without revision created in SoftExpert PDM, and click on the button.
On the item data screen, go to the Characteristic tab, select a characteristic associated with the item, and click on the button.
On the screen that will be opened, keep the Production inspection field selected and fill out the following fields:
- Rule: Select the "Defined size" option.
- # of samples: Enter the value of "5".
- # of readings: Enter the value of "2".
Then, click on the button to associate your user as a responsible party.
Once done, click on .
Thus, the SoftExpert PDM item has been configured to be used in the production inspection.
2nd step: Creating a work shift
To create a work shift, access the IP065 menu and click on the button.
On the screen that will be opened, fill out the ID # field with "SHIFT-01" and the Name field with "Full shift".
After doing that, click on the button.
3rd step: Creating a production inspection
To create the production inspection, access the IP063 menu and click on the button.
On the screen that will be opened, select the previously configured Item.
By doing that, the system will load the item characteristics configured for the production inspection.
After doing that, click on the button.
The production inspection has been performed successfully!
4th step: Creating a test for the production inspection
To create the production inspection test, access the IP063 menu, select the production inspection created in the previous step, and click on the button.
Now, select the characteristic and access the Test specification tab.
In the Evaluation leader > Work shift field, select the "SHIFT-01" work shift created in the previous step.
Then, click on the Test results tab and the arrow next to the button, and select the "Add" option.
After doing that, click on the Save button.
Thus, the first production inspection test has been created.
