Creating a requirement
Prerequisites
• Access to the File > Requirement (REQ021) menu;
• Previously created requirement type, with requirement test enabled;
• Previously created test plan.
Introduction
Requirements are records used to catalog the compliances of the organization and analyze whether they are being met.
This article aims to cover the necessary configurations for the created requirements to go through requirement tests.
Creating a requirement

This article will cover the configurations necessary to generate requirement tests.
This article aims to cover the necessary configurations for the created requirements to go through requirement tests.
A requirement named ISO 9001 – Quality management system, which will go through a test with a test case.
And another requirement named ISO 22000 - Food safety management system, which will go through a test with a sample.
To configure the test in the requirement data, execute the steps below:
1. On the reference requirement data screen, select the Requirement test tab.
2. Choose whether the tests will be by Test case or Sample.
3. If the chosen option is Test case, configure the enabled fields.
4. In the Test plan field, define the plan template that will be used to apply the tests.
5. Choose the Next execution date.
6. Define the user and, if necessary, the team responsible for the requirement test.
7. Click on the button.
If the option chosen in the Requirement test tab is Sample, it will not be necessary to perform other configurations.
Simply check the Sample field and click on .
Only the plans configured with the test case option will be available for selection in the Test plan field.
Conclusion
For the requirement configured with test by test case, the next step will be adding the cases to the requirement structure.
For the requirement configured with test by sample, the next step will be enabling the test in the requirement structure.
