Using AI in machine translation
Prerequisites
- SoftExpert Suite environment hosted in the cloud.
- Previously configured translation API.
- Access to SoftExpert Suite menus that offer the Suggest machine translation feature.
- "AI features'' permission enabled in Configuration > Access group (CM011) > Other permissions > AI features.
Introduction
In SoftExpert Suite, some menus include the machine translation suggestion feature, which can be used, for example, to automatically translate articles or the title and description of a knowledge base from the default language.
The Suggest machine translation feature is also available on some screens of the SoftExpert Administration, SoftExpert Performance, and SoftExpert Form components.
AI-powered machine translation
The steps will be demonstrated in the Article (KB014) menu, but the procedure is valid for all menus in which the feature is available.
1. Access the Knowledge base > Article (KB014) menu.
2. Locate the article and right-click on it.
4. On the article data screen, click on Configure languages.
5. Enter the language into which you want the article to be translated and select the Suggest machine translation option.
6. Click on the Save and close button.
7. On the article data screen, click on the flag corresponding to the country and select the language into which you want to translate the text.
8. The text will be translated and displayed on the screen.
