Prerequisites:
- Pre-configured proficiency level.
- Access the Settings menu > General parameters (CO023) .
Presentation:
The Performance x Potential Matrix is used to strategically classify employees by combining the results of performance evaluations with the responses recorded in potential assessments. This matrix supports decisions regarding employee transfers, succession planning, development, and talent identification.
In SoftExpert Competência, it is possible to configure the matrix according to the model adopted by the organization, defining layout, titles, colors, and positioning rules on the axes.
Configure general parameters of the Performance vs. Potential Matrix.
1. Access the Settings menu > General parameters (CO023).
2. In the Performance × Potential Matrix section , select the desired model in the field corresponding to the matrix format (A) :
- 9 Box : the number of quadrants in the matrix will be nine.
- 12 Box : the number of quadrants in the matrix will be twelve.
4. For each quadrant of the matrix, edit the available fields, specifying the quadrant title and the color that should represent it in the matrix.
5. Set up the Potential axis (B) .
6. In the Title field , provide the name for each potential range.
7. In the Response field , define how each proficiency level, from the scale configured for Potential , will position the employee on the axis. The responses correspond to the levels assigned in the potential assessment.
8. In the Performance axis (C) , enter the name of each range in the Title field .
9. In the Interval fields , define the percentage corresponding to the performance evaluation result that should position the employee on the axis. Each line on the axis must have a valid percentage range, without overlapping.
10. After completing all the settings, click the
save button.

Conclusion
After defining the performance x potential matrix, the system automatically positions employees according to the results of their performance and potential evaluations.
