Creating a configuration type
Prerequisite
- Access to the Configuration > Asset > Configuration type (AS056) menu.
Introduction
A configuration type is a record used to classify and group event configuration records in the system. That is, it is a mandatory record for the creation of an event configuration.
There are three types of asset events: usage, maintenance, and calibration. For this reason, a configuration can only be created separately for each event type, hence the need to classify and group configuration records.

Creating an event configuration type
1. Access the Configuration > Asset > Configuration type (AS056) menu.
2. Click on the button.
3. Enter an ID # and a name for the configuration type.
4. Fill in the Upper level field with a different configuration type so that the type being created becomes its subtype.
5. Click on the button.
